Mentors and Support

Retouch was produced in the NYU Program in Culture & Media—a 3-year course that combines practical training in filmmaking with in-depth theoretical and ethical discussions about the social documentary form.

The C&M program is led by Cheryl Furjanic, Faye Ginsburg, Pegi Vail and Tejaswini Ganti. The Class of 2021 included Andrew Ashley, Julia Tinneny, and Matthew Raj Webb.

The Class benefitted greatly from feedback from guest lecturers, filmmakers Rachel Chanoff and Rachel Lears.
